For those who are joining our family of patients, welcome! It might seem out of the ordinary to be scheduled for a 90-minute new patient visit, but this time is reserved especially for you to ensure that you receive a thorough dental examination and consultation. We look forward to getting to know you and your family, and to talking with you about your oral health and expectations for your smile.
We strive to run on time so you won’t be kept waiting, and we ask you to arrive for your appointments on time as well. We understand that you are busy, and your time is valuable to us. We only deviate from our schedule in the event of a dental emergency that needs to be taken care of immediately. Please call at least two business days in advance if you need to change an appointment.
We want to help remove financial barriers so our patients can get the dental care they need and desire. Before scheduling treatment, we are happy to provide an estimate of costs. Many patients have dental insurance and, in the majority of cases, we are able and pleased to assist you in maximizing your dental benefits. Contact us about your plan! At your first visit, we will ask for current insurance information. We may ask you to confirm this information at subsequent visits so we can remain up-to-date and fully informed to serve you. Insured patients will receive cost estimates broken down by insured and uninsured costs. We require that uninsured costs be paid the day services are rendered.
For patients covered by insurance, we will accept assignment of benefits. This means that you sign the portion of your insurance that “assigns” payment to our office. Most dental insurance plans do not cover 100% of the cost of your treatment. It is because of this, and the extreme delay in receiving payment from insurance companies, that you are asked to pay your deductible and your portion of charges when services are rendered.
Please note that estimates are based on information provided to us by your insurance and are not a guarantee of payment. Only after a claim is submitted and reviewed by your insurance company can final payment be determined. As a courtesy, we file claim forms electronically, provide postage for special claims, and track claims for you.
We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards.
